Government High School for Boys

Government High School for Boys, Salarwala, was established as a junior Anglo-Vernacular School in 1920. It was promoted to its current high school status in 1937. A degree college is currently under construction. The school has a record 3,000 enrolled.

Up until 1970, the school had a hostel for the boys who lived too far to commute.It was closed when other schools sprang up in nearby areas.
